The world’s largest venture fund dedicated to quantum technologies has launched

Copenhagen-based venture fund 55 North has completed the first close of its EUR 300 million fund, raising EUR 134 million from key investors Novo Holdings and Danmarks Eksport- og Investeringsfond (EIFO), supported by Vsquared Ventures and Cambium Capital Management. With this milestone, 55 North has now established its position as the largest quantum-focused venture fund in the world.

The team behind the 55 North consists of managing partner Owen Lozman, general partner Kai Hudek, and CSO & general partner Helmut G. Katzgraberr. Their ambition is to anchor Europe as the global leader of both quantum research and the commercialisation of quantum innovation. 55 North will invest in startups at all stages and across the broader quantum ecosystem, including quantum hardware, software, communications, sensing, and enabling technologies.

Mazanti Transactions has advised 55 North throughout the entire process, from the initial planning of fund structure, scope, and setup, to the successful closing.
