
BU Bregal Unternehmerkapital acquires a majority stake in Uniconta A/S
BU Bregal Unternehmerkapital, a leading German private equity fund, has acquired a majority stake in the Danish software company Uniconta. Founder and CEO Erik Damgaard will remain a significant shareholder and will continue to lead the development of Uniconta as CTO. Mazanti-Andersen acted as sell-side advisor to Erik Damgaard and the selling shareholders in connection with the sale.
Founded in 2015 by Erik Damgaard, Uniconta is a cloud-based, all-in-one accounting and ERP platform built for small and medium-sized businesses. With a market-leading position in Denmark and a growing presence in Germany, the Netherlands, Iceland, and Lithuania, Uniconta is used by more than 45,000 companies across 67 countries.
The new partners are joining forces to build on Uniconta’s strong position in Denmark and to accelerate its growth across the European market.
